The North Sea low cloud has well and truly established itself now over East Anglia- and over South Shields.

Not sure about that, today has certainly been sunnier here than of late and the cloud was more thin and broken than the last few days and this evening was certainly sunny.

Yesterday morning had thick low cloud with drizzle, not nice to be out in but at least it give a bit of 'descriptive' weather to talk about.

I posted that at 11:42- I did see that South Shields brightened up afterwards and looks pretty bright today as well. It's relented in Norwich today as well, and we have sunny intervals and broken cloud.

Classic North Sea low cloud this morning as illustrated here: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/satpics/latest_uk_vis.html

Usual areas are affected by a featureless sheet of grey which will struggle to burn off, especially the midlands eastward.

It's been cloudy all day, with not even a glimpse of the sun.Similar to previous days really.

I'll be pleased with a pattern change because it's a very boring spell of weather here.

cold.gif North sea crap been over us for 2days now. Temps have really stuggled, today a max of 14.c, yesterday the same. Compared to the highs of 22.c we had only a few days ago, it feels cold outside in the moderate wind.

What difference a few miles makes :) It's still cloudy here, but with some breaks in the cloud

and very little in the way of sunshine.

Edit. The clouds are breaking up fast now, with a lot more blue sky appearing at long last :)
