In Cleadon, today has started with sea fog but the sun has broken through promising another sunny day.

Yesterday was a fine sunny day with a max of 13.4C and a min of 1.3C. It felt warmer than 13C out in the sunshine with the lack of wind.

Overcast and dry with almost calm conditions up to observation. A good deal of cloud persisted through the day, but was thin enough at times to allow some weak watery sunshine. Very light winds throughout. Maximum temperature 13.4c.

Well what a shock - it's *sunny* for the first time in many many days! Perhaps just maybe we'll have one day of the weekend not dull & drizzly...

Well broken cloud temp 11.4c after 9.4c low.

Do we have anyone near the Brecon Beacons and/or the Herefordshire Borders on here? The Met Office radar shows very heavy but localized rain there from about 6.30 to 8 this morning - was it a thunderstorm (the lightning detector seems to be down)?

EDIT: no it can't be right. Does the radar pick up fog as heavy rain sometimes??

My average is below your average min and its been a pretty mild month so far, nearest meto station about 10 miles away is 1.7C above average.
