It was quite interesting earlier because from about 14.00-16.00 Salisbury Plain seemed to be producing a micro-climate locally with banks of low cloud rolling over into the Westbury area, while towards Warminster/Frome to the S/SW and Trowbridge to the N the sky was much brighter. It turned brighter here from 16.00 with hazy sunshine lifting the temperature to 14.5c.

After a misty, murky start, the murk lifted and the rest of the day was cloudy with sunny intervals, feeling warm in the sun and otherwise humid. Today has been the warmest day this year so far and sometimes the sky has looked as though it needs to explode but hasn't. The skies have been clearing over the last few hours and now only mid-level altocumulus and status is present.

Cloudy all day today and as soon as darkness has arrived the sea fog has rolled in, couldnt be anymore to the nice sunshine we had yesterday.

Whilst most areas will be in warm sunshine(or thundery showers!), i'm going to be stuck under this low cloud with low tempertures. What did bring a smile on my face is when Louise Lear apologised for tomorrow's low cloud and low temps, a very sympathetic southerner however it is not your fault Louise for the weather up here, its happens i suppose.

Very hazy skies with cloud cover for most of the day preventing any sunshine bursting through at all, so quite dissapointing compared to the past 3 days, but still fairly pleasant with little wind and low teen temps..

Looks like we will be on the boundary of the wet weather which is predicted to spill up from the south tonight and into tomorrow morning. will be interesting to see whether we do catch any of it and if we do just how heavy it will be.. If we do get it, I think it could actually pep up as it is drawn over the hills, so it could be surprisingly heavy although I doubt it will last very long.
