TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 173

NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK

220 PM CDT SUN APR 19 2009

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

WESTERN ALABAMA

SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI

EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 220 PM UNTIL 900

PM CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND

GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE

AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55 STATUTE

MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES NORTHEAST OF

TUSCALOOSA ALABAMA TO 15 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF GULFPORT

Something interesting on that cam now. Probs just scud/wall cloud. Difficult to tell!
