Nearly 18mm rain fell between 0900hrs yesterday the 28th and 0400hrs this morning 29th April

Hasn't been too bad here regarding rain some on monday but thats it, definately no heat or humid weather though with the weather on the chilly side even by day with low dew points and lots of cloud.

Lovely and cold crisp morning here, i see birmingham is down to 0C, i`m recording 2C.

Had a walk in a valley near me and its covered with thick fog, while here its clear, its always foggy/misty there and clear here and i`m only around 1 mile away, just shows you the countryside is a different world to urban areas even ones on edge of town, must be at least 5C colder there in the valley so an air frost there i`m sure.

The sun was out briefly around 0530 g.m.t but fog, already lying in the valleys at that time, quickly spread to higher levels and it's been foggy since 0600 g.m.t, albeit with the sun trying to break through at times.

Temp' was 5.8c at 0540 g.m.t but fell to 3.6c when the fog rolled in and has since recovered a little to 4.3c.

Apart from Monday, when it rained most of the day, the last two weeks have been GLORIOUS! It's currently clear and sunny outside, the sort of weather I'd expect in June! 15.1c at the moment.

I just hope this isn't our summer (again :o )
