    MONDAY 27TH APRIL: Sunshine and April Showers

    After a thoroughly wet and miserable morning with heavy, thundery rain passing over the region, the air turned much clearer and fresher behind with high winds, occasionally gusting at gale force. A brief clear interlude between the back edge of the front and the arrival of showers was followed by the first sighting of cu-nimbs. Some of the showers proved to be quite beefy on the radar with hail mixed in but as per usual, none encroached to my area.
