Had a few days away in Devon last week, and with the forecast suggesting storms, I though it would be a great time for a chase....I ended up 'cross-graining' the South Hams for the afternoon chasing a multi-cellular surface based storm.....unfortunatley no CG lightning shots, but got some nice shots in particular near Slapton Ley....

Pic 1........around 11:30am looking NE showing convection developing over the Dorset coast

Pic 3....... around midday, showing a large anvil pushing in from the SW

Pic 4....... zoom in of one area of the cell encroaching from the SW, interesting cloud structure, almost looking like a wall cloud!

A good set of photos AJ, cool gust front and I really like the rain (maybe hail) falling in the final pic.

Really nice photos AJ, really want a storm now. Just a heavy shower would be good. No more of this- "sunny spells, followed by dull, a bit breezy, more dullness, a little sunshine but a cold wind, back to dull" weather that we have been having recently. Looking forward to some rain to be honest. Anything is more interesting than the hideously boring weather at the moment.

Anyway, I digress :) . Great photos mate.
