Fascinating stuff guys! I seem to have lost the live feed at the minute but am sure it'll be back soon.. unless it's just me!!

Stay safe..

Edited to add: scrap that, it's back online. Darn I wish I could stay up to watch things unfold but I don't think my little boy would be too happy if I was falling asleep at his 2nd birthday party tomorrow, lol!!

Good luck!

damn, lost the streaming video, its constantly on the 'spinning disk'...but looking at the latest radar still, the team must be within a few miles of those 2 cells..

Just seen NL's post....tornado watch now in effect for SE OK....now I can see how stormchasing can be so frustrating!....thats the original direction they were heading!

Cells initiating in Ardmore Oklahoma. These have BIG potential as the atmosphere around here

is pretty explosive.

Stream is defo live - just refresh the page.

its sorted now Paul....maybe lack of network coverage for a mo....Is there time still for the team to head back up I20 and I35 to the OK border,? guess not, looks a long drive.......NL...I take it that the black 'bendy ' line bottom left of the radar image is the Red River??

The two storms in the Breckenridge area have hardly moved in an hour, at the rain rate they are dumping, this is bound to cause problems.

The team must be on them by now but I only have the dreaded spinning disk

Edit: back on now :D

I'd say about 80-100 mile away as the crow flies, so a bit longer, yeah thats where a natural border is the river separating the states ofTexas and Oklahoma.

The stream is live, if you've had the spinning disk for a while it's best to refresh and start again.

Those 2 cells(a 3rd now developing) the team are on in Texas have hardly

moved in the last 2 hours about 10-15 mile south/easterly, could be quite a bit of flooding around.

Line of storms now trying to get a foothold running from the

big meso that the team are on to the smaller meso's in Oklahoma.

numerous cells now 'exploding'' over the OK/TX border...rapid development indeed

edit..looking at the storms' location, Nick F was spot on in his earlier forecast!

Time for the team to head north?...quickly??

If the team are still on this cell (my stream went down 5mins ago) they'd better

take cover as hail> than 4" is currently being dropped.

Quite a close fly-by from the satellite showing the cells

in all of their magnificence...

This one is starting to look sinister - maybe it will produce for the team after all........

BTW, spinning disk is back

Which storm should they intercept?.....south or north or I20?...a connundrum and a half......they could intercept eitherway in say 30 mins?

Looks like all cells currently given 'severe t-storm warning' status

I noticed that before the storms developed, Possum Kingdom (which has a supplementary reporting station) was showing about 100 F and 70 F dew points, then in the past hour it was 90/79, indicating that the storm must have briefly dropped some rain there and then evaporation started big-time.

You have to feel for the new chasers today, imagine getting off a plane after a long flight, and hurtling into rush hour traffic in that heat. The situation calls for cold beer in large quantities, and not just American beer, but decent Canadian beer (ask for it by name).

That storm was chucking out grapefruit sized hail according to one of the other chaser sites, near Rising Star, TX.
