After hazy/lightbulb sunny spells through most of the morning, the sun is now shining brightly with increasing amounts of blue sky as Cirrus moves away to the East. There's a gentle WSW breeze and the temperature is rising at 14.1c with 60% humidity.

Surprisingly it has remained fairly dry so far here in this part of Cumbria - a few showers early this morning only, we were supposed to be under heavy rain at this stage according to the models, but the rain does look like it is about to hit having anchored itself further to the north than had originally been anticipated, still it looks like it will only last 3 hours tops.. so today actually may well turn out not to be a half bad day, but still far from a decent May day..

Its not been a great start to May we have yet to hit 14 degrees max, compare this to last year..

A rather peculiar trailing cold front has appeared almost from nowhere giving showers here in the last hour or two. Must give credit to the Met.Office for predicting this a couple of days ago!

Haha don't worry I can't spell either, you would have been fooled in to thinking it was October outside! I went to the student union for lunch with my room mate whoes from America because we needed to get out. We decided to walk the 4km back to our hall from the otherside of the city, then it started raining. It was freezing outside I got back and you know that way your walking in to the wind and rain and you lose the feeling in your skin, then go inside and it feels like its on fire. I have that. I think I have wind burn on my cheeks. Windburn. In May?! What the smeg?

TBH its not really that ridiculous for scotland in the first half of May, cold weather isn't unheard of even down here in the midlands in May even in the afternoon, here it's 14C, mostly cloudy and very breezy, i thought it felt cool here with that strong wind but it's nothing compared to you.
