Started the Day in Cloudy Drizzly Amarillo with 14c and had a Chase Target of Plainview down the I27 - After Grabbing Lunch the Dryline was once again Setting up about 25 Miles West of Plainview, watched Towers Turkey Up and Down

post-24-1242189314_thumb.jpg - Dryline Initiation

After that the 1st Supercell Took off North and we got involved in a Huge DustStorm which we rode out just South of Tulia

post-24-1242189392_thumb.jpg - DustStorm

We then ditched the Northern Storm and headed East to a more Favourable Area for Storms towards Turkey (Tx)

post-24-1242189450_thumb.jpg - Our Position

After then deciding to Ditch the Northern Storm and with only 40 Minutes of Light left we targeted the Childress Storm to See if one of these High Based Cells could finally Deliver

post-24-1242189659_thumb.jpg - Leaving the Northern Storm

We then got involved with the Vortex2 Armada as we went into Childress, just the 20 or so vehicles and what we then saw at Childress was the best Structure of the Day.

After this I took the photo I have been trying to get for 6 years (Namely a Daytime Lightning Shot) And I am Very Happy :)

post-24-1242189906_thumb.jpg

What a fantastic day! Never seen anything like it...... To have been able to watch the storm develop from the initiation point to finishing in Childress was like nothing I have seen before. Got some good shots but nothing compared to some of the other ones the guys have been posting.

What an experience!

Some of that mammatus structure is awesome. I'm so glad your team managed to latch onto some action yesterday as it was touch and go for a while! Personally quite pleased with my morning target of Turkey, TX though I was a bit surprised to see initiation start so far west.

Now, on to today . . . . :o

Some more awesome lightning shots especially the daytime shot from Paul. Worth the 6 year wait for that one.

Cloud structure on that cell is amazing and to grab CG's with it is just absolutely

marvelous (did you use Pats camera lightning detector?).

Had just about everything thrown at you yesterday apart from the elusive tornado, loved the

'anvil crawlers' and some of those CG's at the Days Inn car park were seriously close, looking

forward to hearing those bolts on the video. Well done all of you...!

I just lucked out and as it was throwing out some pretty rapid Cg's got my Tripod out and Set the Camera to F22 With an ISO Of 200. Then got the shot on a 1 Second Exposure.

In A Word LUCKY!! :o ;)

Thanks for all your comments guys - Now where are those Tornadoes This Year!! :o :o

Paul, maybe you're going to live out that old tv programme chestnut of getting the tornado on the last day :o .

That photo of the 3 CGs behind the pylons and building is stunning :o (can't recall whose it is) .

some of the CGs were very severe....

Unforunately uploading causes the resolution to diminsh....

Awesome Dogs (9 - 12 seconds) never seen lightning like it.

I'd like to add that after following the live streaming from lastnight which was incredible guys, all of your photography is tops too. Especially liked Paul's last one with the multipule CG strikes, but all of them are great guys. Spectacular as TRL says!

Thoroughly enjoyable and really really look forward to being out there 2010.
