Lulworth Cove And Durdle Door, Dorset, 26.04.2009

I know it's taken me a while to get these pics up, but I've finally got round to it:

Here's a selection of pics from when a friend and I ventured down to the Purbecks (well, I kinda made him) for a nice jolly:

This pic is from the Sandbanks/Studland ferry, looking towards Bournemouth.

And here's arriving at Studland:

On the drive from Studland down to Lulworth Cove (via the beautiful Corfe Castle) there was an awesome shot that could have been taken overlooking Poole Harbour. Naturally, I couldn't be bothered to stop the car and get one. Silly me.

Anyway, the next few are in Lulworth Cove:

This next one is looking back inland from the Cove towards the South Dorset countryside:

Then I climbed out of the Cove to get shots of it and surroundings:

These next 2 are of Stair Hole, which will look like Lulworth Cove in a few thousand years due to the natural coastal erosion.

Now a couple of shots looking back at Lulworth when we started walking to Durdle Door:

I'm hoping to get a lot more pics from Dorset (and Bournemouth and Poole) over the summer, just with my trusty little digital camera!

That's nice! No, I didn't, I bought a really short parking ticket in the car park and had to get back to Nottingham that evening! I've not been fossil hunting since I was little in Lyme Regis - I shall have to add that as a destination this summer.
