Heavy rain for most of the night still chucking it down now, the past few days have been the most depressing weather wise since last August with dark damp condiitons all day and being in a central area i missed out on the worst of the rain, looks like north, south and west of here got it worse, no sunshine at all and no thunderstorms i`m sure those looking forward to this are sick of it too and hoping for more dry sunny weather soon.

Thick fog again this morning, thinning to mist by mid-morning, and much lighter winds than recently.

Temp' currently is 9.5c with continuous light rain falling.

Today is mostly cloudy and humid with showery rain, most of which has been light/drizzly as the heavier showers moved to the East around the middle of the day. There have been some sunny spells and when the sun was out late this morning the temperature quickly rose to 14.1c whereas mopst of the time it's been around 12c. At present the temperature is 12.3c and humidity is 84%.

Dismal so far, not a bad start albeit cloudy, since about 10 we have had continuous moderate rain, nothing too heavy but heavy enough to make it feel miserable, thankfully we have lost the gusty easterly we have been plagued with for the past 4 days, however we have only just scraped 10 degrees so far which for the middle of May is a poor maxima, not very springlike..

Musy add how lucky I was with conditions in the west lakes at Wadale between Monday and thursday... Monday and Tuesday were glorious, dry with no clouds fantastic visibility, Wednesday saw a few spots of rain but nothing very much, and even yesterday stayed dry in the western lakes compared to further east.. But the one uncomfortable aspect was the dry east wind which never relented and just whistled through the valley and on exposed ridges.
