A drier day than of late, mostly sunny with patchy clouds, and just one or two afternoon showers. Today's top temperature 19.1C, with a lighter wind made it feel quite pleasant.

Mostly cloudy today, only a light breeze (SSW) for a change! Spells of rain occurred 10-1130; 17-1930; and some light showers since 2000. Not much heavy rain here, although driving home from Aberystwyth I came through torrential rain just before 1900. Between times some bright and even sunny intervals, during which it felt fairly warm and humid.

Min: 7.6c @ 0500

Max: 15.0c @ 1330

Rain yesterday: 2.4mm

Rain since 10am: 5mm

Currently: Light showers.

Temp: 10.4c

Pressure: 1014mbar, steady.

A miserable very wet start to the day here, but surprisingly the rain quickly cleared and the rest of the day has stayed in the main fairly dry albeit very cloudy with no sunshine, so not a great day overall though it has felt a little milder.

Expecting some sunshine tomorrow which though is likely to trigger some midday showers.

A fine start to the day but soon clouded over around lunchtime with light showers which merged to give heavier and more prolonged showers around 3 - 5pm.

After that again there were passing moderate showers until 10.00pm when persistant heavy rain moved in from the southwest. Still raining heavily now.

Turning out to be a very wet week.

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
