Quite a show this week over the NE with some spectacular cloud-scapes, i personally didn't witness any

Sferics although there were reported strikes around the region.

Thanks for the kind words folks, very similar day again today how i never saw a strike or heard thunder

is totally surprising as anvils were a plenty even one or two cells looked like they had over-shooting tops..!!

Hopefully after next weeks warm-up storms could become quite widespread and go out with a bang, knowing

my luck it'll go out with a pop up here...

Morning NL

Nice shots , thanks for sharing

I never heard any thunder or saw any lightning at all last week, however, when i was at work yesterday, we did have some pretty heavy downpours, and at one stage i thought their might have been a storm brewing, but it never materialized, I was at the QE hospital in Gateshead , which is pretty high up

Nice photos NL, even some lowerings there, unusually stormy skies for the North East.

Being out here storm chasing has made me realise how boring our NE weather is. Even though it's quiet by US standards, i've seen more CG's in one day than I have in the last few years at home!

Not sure I can get excited for a UK storm again now, that's the downside of coming here.

Great pics NL, you just know that if those clouds produced elsewhere then there would of been some lightning but as we all know, lightning does not occur all that often here no matter what the set up.

We do decent enough whenever nighttime storms occurs so maybe Monday night into Tuesday morning might be no different i hope.
