Unfortunately due to some technical problems Michael Fish has been unable to get his forecast online today, so I've jumped in for him at the last minute and put a forecast together, so you have a presenter rather than a forecaster (for those taking part in the thread in the media area!), but hopefully it's ok as a substitute until Mr Fish is back next week :)

Very nice presentation, Paul... :unknw:

Just one thing that I've noticed over the weeks, is that the projected maxima for Inverness (+9C at 4pm) always seem to be a tad on the 'low side'?

Is there a wee glitch in the system somewhere? :)

Cheers Pete, yep I noticed the Inverness thing too - may have placed it wrongly - probably up a mountain as opposed to close to sea level, will sort it for the next one!

Michael's forecast for this week is now up, as well as the national outlook, he looks ahead to some events this weekend and even talks of a hurricane which is going to be heading toward the UK next week!

Mmm Mr Fish seems to reading from different temperature charts than the ones on the screen coming out with temps 2 or 3 degrees higher than the ones shown.

Yep, we were just discussing that actually - technical issue this week but will have it sorted next week so the words match the pictures!

I didn't mention the rain

Tell Micheal we'll band together and buy him a large 42 inch Lcd so he can see the text.

The latest forecast from Michael Fish is online, looking ahead to the weekend and beyond into next week. It also contains news of the climate change conference he just attended and forecasts for Moreton in Marsh show and the Blackpool Illuminations.
