Perfect weather continues, cool breezy nights with a fresh easterly and very warm but with very pleasant dew points by day, this is miles better than weather into the 30`s with very muggy dewpoints, on the other hand its miles better than temps in the low to mid teens with cold dewpoiints and ground frost at night which we will have to endure by the weekend, first night of ground frost wednesday night what a shock that will feel like compared to today.

Light breeze blowing with a clear sky and ts still 20.2C outside B)

Very nice though! only thing is the house is a little too warm for my liking and its very hard to cool it down.

Edit: Its not completely dark here with light in the sky towards the north/NW.. infact im not sure but there looks to be some really faint noctilucent clouds towards the NNW?

Came home from the Midlands late afternoon/ early evening.

Another gloriously sunny and really warm day, after a clear night in Coventry. Less of a breeze also.

Min last night in Coventry: 10.9c (9c here).

Max in Coventry today: 24.4c (its been 25.4c here!).

Dry again yesterday/ today.

Of interest was being able to see the Cb's and showers over southern England (Hampshire?) from the M5/M50 near Tewkesbury at teatime, some 80 miles to the SSE at a guess! No cloud/ haze in the way.

While away for the past week:

Min: 6.5c 27th May

Max: 25.4c today.

Total rainfall: 19.2mm (virtually all between 0400- 1300 on the 27th).

Currently: Clear and refreshingly cool.

Temp: 14c

Pressure: 1025mbar, falling slowly.

The house has not become overly warm thankfully- a pleasant 21c in here though warm upstairs.

lol just wondering conor but what words do you use to describe temps into the early 30`s?

Extremely scorching? ;)

Heres what an online dictionary says is the meaning of scorching, you used it incorrectly, 24C isnt very hot in the west midlands in June.

–adjective 1. burning; very hot.

2. caustic or scathing: a scorching denunciation.

Scorching is not a word i would use at all to describe the current weather, that is reserved for heatwaves.

I took a thermometer on a walk to the nearby valley and it said 2C

That is just incredible when the airmass at 850 hPa level isnt cold just shows you how HP and no wind has an effect on sinking cold air into valleys i got down to 8C so just 1 mile away is 6C colder, i think increased urbanisation has a big say in the warmer averages we see nowadays.

Imagine the mins the valley will record end of the week ;)
