First of all Brickfielder was spot on, around 10 mins of posting the charts and what he thinks will happen today, i witnessed a thunderstorm with a funnel cloud/tornado slight touch down.

I was tracking the storm which clipped parts of East Hull and it pushed E towards hedon then out in to the North sea. The funnel cloud looked fantastic!

I contacted my local news paper and they made a breaking news article right away. "And i did not call it a mini-tornado, thats there bloody way of naming it lol".

I could not got any pictures but daveinhull on another forum got some pictures and i think there fantastic.

I'm very greatfull to witness true mother nature;

Its funny i made a post on the convective potential thread this morning before it happened, i said that it looks good for my area today but knowing my luck nothing will happen, well i was wrong because 20 mins later this happened;

Good images, Lewis. :rolleyes: That's twice in the last 4 or 5 days that funnel clouds/tornadoes have been reported somewhere in the UK. (Cornwall on Sunday being one).

Just to point out though that these are only classed as tornados IF they make it down to ground level, otherwise they are funnel clouds, or another term being an incipient tornado.

I'm sure last Friday I saw clouds which were representative of forming tornadoes however I can't confirm if anything actually happened. Though the cloud set up was certainly similar to that in the photographs there.
