Some good storms at the moment, although unfortunately quite a bit of localised flooding in the north and west of the county.

Been watching the cumulus develop into cumulonimbus as the day has worn on - currently thundering with very heavy rain. It is very reminiscent of tropics type weather, with sunny weather this morning, developing into convective showers later

Sunshine and showers in Exeter, with two big rainstorms, one at 11am and another at 2:30pm, the latter giving rise to flash floods around the Met Office site and some thunder and lightning. Overall a pretty exciting day.

Thunder activity has died out in Devon but there's just been a "sunny shower" (as North East presenter Bob Johnson used to call them)- a short sharp shower with the sun shining throughout, producing a vivid rainbow to the east. Sunshine and showers at its very best.

A bright and mainly sunny day. Just 1 T storm tower at 8pm but it was dying and produced nothing. Temp has dropped sharply since sunset and feels cool and refreshing outside. Current temp 13.6C and falling.
