Clear spells last night, and fairly cool.

We were in Carmarthen most of today (15 miles SSW of here). It was a mostly sunny and warm day down there! All afternoon however a succession of big showers passed by to the west at 3-10 miles away, with some rumbles of thunder around 1500.

On the way home we took a detour to the NW, and 6 miles out of Carmarthen came into a very wet zone with signs of minor floods, and the Council were clearing a stream of debris. According to the NW radar that spot had about 40mm today whereas Carmarthen had next to nothing!

Back home there was just 1.9mm in the gauge, there had been a few brief showers only, and my neighbour heard thunder to the NW early this afternoon. Light and variable breezes today.

We missed out on any thunderstorms today, so it was just a mostly cloudy day with occasional sunny spells and some light rain at times later. Warm again though, with a maximum temperature of 20.2C and feeling rather humid.

Currently 13.3C and overcast but dry. Still only 2.5mm of rain this month, so a very dry one so far!
