Mods feel free to move this if already been discussed.

The weather forecast (BBC) this morning here in south yorkshire was "starting cloudy with patchy drizzle, becoming brighter later but mostly cloudy with the chance of a very light shower or further drizzle. Top temps, 20C, 68 F. :good:

The start of the forecast was spot on, grey with drizzle on my way to work this morning at 6 AM.

I got back at 11 AM today and temps were already at 21C. At 3.25 PM temps had risen to a peak of 26.3C with angry looking skies.

Comes 4.15 pm a sudden downpour with 5 large cracks of thunder. Brighter for 15 mins then the mother of all downpours with 1cm hail and frequent lightening. 5.45pm another thunderstorm passes through, 50 mins of torrential rain, (back garden flooded to 3 inches of standing water)

Today in Darton:

Max temp, 26.3C

rainfall, 56mm

Average pressure, 1026.7 Mb

Wind NNW force 2 or less.

Thunderstorms, 3 (one moderate, 1cm hail)

Quite suprised really with pressure been that high, What went wrong!!?? :good:
