well it was , do you guys always relay on the bleeping met o for god sake!

No, not always, but when your location is recording temperatures two, three, four, sometimes even five degrees above the locations around you against recordings not just taken by the Met Office, that's when people start asking questions.

25'C max in the south-west of Inverness today, was very nice but cloud rolling in the now.

Absolutely. Also, all the Met Stations are "properly set-up" for want of a better phrase. Most people will record slightly warmer values in summer than the nearest official station, but then most of us have our Stevenson Screens in the garden and thus not strictly meeting the criteria set by the Met Office: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/education/curr...ving/partb.html

Today has been very warm but noticeably more cloudier compared to yesterday as well as a lot less breezier. Yesterday was beautiful with a keen wind just helping to freshen things up. Top temp today of 24C.

Currently 20.1C. A max today of just 21.1C, after 20.9C yesterday so the fresher south east breeze definitely cooling things a little. Still though, very pleasant conditions.

Sunny intervals and quite hot in Exeter (max of about 23-24C), there have been a few showers scattered about but we missed them. The thunderstorms that developed to the east of Exeter and spread to the north did not produce any thunder, though I think I heard a couple of very distant rumbles at around 9pm from a cell that sprouted up just to the east.

Currently a lot of altocumulus castellatus about- even out to sea- so chances of something sprouting up over Exeter overnight and into tomorrow.

BBC London forecast for tomorrow. They said there's a 40% chance of a downpour and they said the temperature 'might' get to the mid 20's. In the downpours it will be more like 20c!

So it is cert that thundery showers are on for tomorrow.

A lovely day here, temps nothing special just getting to about 22 degrees and it didn't feel humid at all, with a lovely freshening east wind, a great day all round, I would take many more such days this summer ovwr a humid sticky day with temps over 25 degrees, do people really like such days... not looking forward to the upcoming humid spell in this respect.

A word on this evening, it is truely beautiful, it is so light the fell are etched black in sharp sillohette against a stunning bluey turquoise sky, to be in the lake district on such days as today doesn't get much better really.

a cracking few days in the nw highlands. tuesday was notable for unusually clear air (for the time of year) - you could see from coast to coast from the tops - weds was very warm, sunny and brought all the horseflies to life, and today was warm, sunny and a nice breeze higher up. here on the coast there's been a bit of clag to take the edge off things early mornings but the evenings have been nice. a long time since we've had such good weather at mid-summer, when you want to sit outside and read all night.
