We had three fairly violent storms yesterday evening, and i managed to catch a bit of lightning with my EOS, I used continuous shooting and probably took about 70 shots just for this one. Sadly i was unable to get any more

I have tried lots of times and never succeeded snapping lightning during daylight hours, got it at night loads of times.

Continuous shooting eh, I'll give it a try next daylight storm I am not working or driving in :D

    Well done.

    Russ.

Nice shot, beats the hell out of the one and only shot I accidentally caught of a flash which just happened to be IC / sheet lightning a few years ago. The only reason I knew I'd caught it was because it was much brighter than the image I snapped a second beforehand.

I'll have to try continuous shooting with an empty card and hope to get lucky when I see a storm this year as that's a beauty.

Nice shot, those storms just skirted my position and they looked to have very good lightning returns.
