Cloudy and misty with a current temp of 15c.

Hopefully the sun will breakthrough the clouds in the morning, as it's been cloudy for the previous few days.

Mild misty night with light rain/drizzle falling, yesterday was cloudy after a foggy start but it was dry unlike the day before(Friday) which started off cloudy and wet and with the air temp and dew temp so close the dampness of the ground made perfect conditions for fog to form for the rest of the day into the night.

As you can tell, its been a 'dreich' few days here in Tyne and Wear and today does not look like its going to be any better.

After missing that line of thunderstorms on Thurs/Fri night we had a really good soaking during the early evening at Watford. From the way my garden pool filled up to overflowing must have been 2 to 3".

The Met Office did not forecast this - merely a few showers possible.

Sunday in summary across NZ:

Highest Maximum Temperature: 19C in Kaitaia and Whangarei

Lowest Maximum Temperature: 0C in Alexandra

Highest Dewpoint: 17C across Northland

At 9AM it was -4C in Christchurch and 17C in Kaikohe.

These are quite big spreads for mid-winter in a maritime country. It's due to a tropical outbreak over the north. A slow moving low has been able to pull air down from inside the tropics, and this has made quite a difference to regions that have been recording frosts and clear, cool days for a few weeks now.

It's like new zealand on a calm winters morning here J07 ;)

An incredible spell of weather for all the wrong reasons, thick fog here yes thick fog for the second time in a row in late June, in the countryside it is unbelievably thick visibility down to levels i've never sene before this time of year in late autumn, winter yes but never seen anything like it near the end of June

Yesterday the sun never came out it remained grey and overcast.

Morning all

Its 14c here with the humidity at 92%. Overnight we have had heavy rain (its filled our water butt). This morning we have low cloud and it is very grey - I haven't seen the sky for the best part of two days as we seem to be sat in a very wet low cloud!

No sun yesterday but fingers crossed for today. Can I ask - will this grey, damp weather lift over the next few days or is this the 'pay off' for the hot humid weather that is forecast?

NoT moaning as I know that you get what you get with weather - but just interested!

Sunny start, warm, currently 22.8c. Seems to be some showers over the channel moving North East wards, no idea if they will reach here in the next few hours or not tho. NW does forecast showers from midday onwards, the BBC had some showers around mid-afternoon, so we'll see.
