Seems that those thundery looking storm clouds have slightly intensified again as the

radar is showing some bright echoes and temps still around 18°C and Dp's 14°C so

who knows perhaps they may through out a surprise.

Still about 223,000ft away from you location Sam in Cirencester....and looking at the wind direction they

look( if they can sustain themselves) to be making a close call too..

Goodnight all- will be interested to see if Exeter gets 'owt as some convection is sprouting up over the South West.

Hi NL - yeah, they're holding together so far - it looks like Glastonbury just got drenched -

they're still growing right now - not sure what the dynamics up there are, but certainly theres some good inflow from the east, with storm motions north/northeast .. heres hoping ..

Good (early) morning Sam, yeah Glastonbury was slap bang under that now quite organized

and large shower cloud, Bath's turn to get a downpour and a 'loud' awakening if they can

just find a bit more energy from somewhere.

Had a few rumbles of thunder and saw a flash of lightning this morning. Heavy rain which gave 3.6mm.

Should be good around here for the rest of the week storm wise.

Watching the Central forecast last night (which tends to cover pretty much from the Welsh/English border in the west through to some of East Anglia in the east), rain and storms look to be more confined to the west of the UK, with the East being typically drier and brighter.
