We had a massive hail storm here about half an hour ago with abit of lightning although it was the hail that made it so impressive!

Looked white outside once it had finished.post-8911-12483724993385_thumb.jpg

We have had roughly 5/6 flashes and some rumbles so not exactly a thunderstorm, but it's all goo.

Just had a torrential downpour accompanied by a few flashes of lightning here in South Birmingham, looks like there is more to come when looking at the Radar. Lots of intense areas of PPN.

Looks like most of the interesting stuff is passing to the South of here heading East, oh well may catch some more later...

Lovely afternoon of storms. Had one about half an hour ago with plenty of lightning and thunder. Another seems to be building now as it's gone very dark.

Sharp and brief thunderstorm here at 12.10 for about 20 minutes.

Pea sized hail and torrential rain - enough hail to temporarily cover the ground.

Cloud to cloud lightning.

Storm subsided and moved away to the north east.

Heavy rain until 1pm. Sun has just reappeared at 15:05.

Two storms just passed through Nantwich, bit of hail and rain with it. Think we were more on the edge of it tbh. Roughly one c2c strike per min.

Had a cracking thunderstorm at about 1pm, torrential downpour along with forked lightning and loud, overhead thunder. This year is certainly making up for it's slow start storm wise!

A violent thunderstorm on Friday lunchtime brought almost 2 inches of rain in an hour where I work, and caused a lot of damage and mess. 3 lightning strikes also came down virtually overhead and it was quite scary for a time. We had another storm Friday afternoon, which brought some hail, but it was nowhere near what we experienced a few hours before. It was the most intense storm I have witnessed for sure.
