Rain eased off now after cell moved away north. A few flashes, a few rumbles and torrential rain interspersed with a shower of pea sized hail. Not a bad start :)

less hail, more thunder up here..still rumbling to my north......more to come our way from the SW...radar is showing a more organised area of heavy rain through herefordshire/SE Wales with our name written on it....

You'll be out of the NSC before the end of today...if not today then tomorrow for sure. I'll be keeping your place for 2010 reserved for you.

Way things are going I'll be the last sodding member of the club whistling to myself as we go into 2010

Dont worry mate, they will all miss me too!

Not that I would here anything anyway, bloody council are mowing the lawns in the rain..

The radar shows alot of activity there even sferics in the usual places, but very little going on here with just 2 normal showers and no convection at all after the high base shower clouds have just left altostratus covering the whole sky, and it`s cool at 14.8c

Not a lot happening in London at the moment, though there is a new potential cell developing to the far SW of London - may run close to S London, though looks at the moment to track across possible north of Sussex towards Surrey and then into Kent - will keep an eye on it though.

Small but heavy shower just passed over us.

One flash with immediate thunder/bang. Wasn't a load shotgun type bang though. I would say popgun at most :D

lol just told my dad there could be tornado's today and he just went mmm. not here. Thats the kinda pessimism i come 2 expect :)

He's almost definately right though and it wouldn't be the first time i've told him that, whilst being under SLIGHT risk :D

NW london i think does better than SW usually, therefore i will attempt to cycle to nw london.

Had a few showers here now, the last one was heavy but still no thunder or lightning, looking at the UKMO ATD, as yet there has been little or no activity down here in the south, apart from over in Essex. On the radar too, all the red echoes are much further up north.

Two small thunderstorms observed here today (so far). The first came with some impressive rotation, but no fc unfortunately. The second is just to my northwest now and is rumbling every now and then (every 3 mins or so). Both occured in the last half hour :D

This 'cell' is intensifying and will brush very close by the office by the looks of things!

Hopefully it will keep intensifying and I might get some thunder :D
