Getting a bit boring this constant rain! Nothing too heavy today but no sunshine at all - just cloud & light showers. Feeling cool despite the 19.7c max.

Don't mind a day or so of cool & wet but no more. I want my heat back - just makes everything so much more cheerful!

Sunshine and showers here too. The temperature rose up to 21c at 12.35 after what was a dry and sunny morning but a rash of showers followed but it has since dried up. I had a bike ride to the banks of the humber and saw some particularly heavy showers and lightning to the west over Hull. Was great to view from a distance... until i had to seek refuge in a nearby phone box as i didnt really set out prepared for rain

Some torrential downpours and T-Storms around Isle of Dogs/Silvertown/Plaistow area in London yesterday.

Some v.good lightening too.

In fact, I was was driving over the Thames (by City Airport), and looked towards the financial buildings, all you saw behind them was an very dark cloud (looking quite electric) and a big folk of lightening going off.

Didnt have my camera, although to be fair, you cant stop on the bridge anyway.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
