A cloudy start to the day with light to moderate rain at times. There were one or two brighter spells, but on the whole the day was cloudy with heavy showers accompanied by thunder. The showers continued in to the evening, rather cool for the most part, but the temperature did briefly reach 20c, Maximum wind gust, 25mph, SW.

Will be interesting to see what the temperatures get to today, the general discussion last week was thatwe wouldn't have widespread max temperatures in the high teens. Looks like today and tomorrow many places may fail to hit 20.

Quite a lot of cloud around today. The morning started with a large sheet of Altocumulus and has progressed to a late morning/early afternoon with TCu, fair weather Cumulus and continued Altocumulus. There are some sunny spells and these look like becoming longer with clearer sky to the N/NW. The current temperature is 19.2c, humidity is 60% and there's a fresh NW breeze.

Cloudy & cool with a max of 17c so far. Dry at least but pretty dull & boring. Thought northerlies were sunnier & more exciting than this?!

I guess that's more the case during winter & spring.

I guess that's more the case during winter & spring.

Thats only really the case when we get unmodified Arctic air. This current northerly is actually bringing air which was sent northwards during our recent hot spell, so it contains a rather large amount of cloud.

Its rather cloudy here too today and the coolest day for quite a while. The current temperature is 17.3C though the air is quite dry with a dewpoint of 7.8C. Last night was still mild though with a min of 13.6C so overall its not too far below average.

According to weatheronline the temp here is 25c which seems wrong to me. it's been cloudy but dry

so far today with the odd glimpse of the sun.
