Had nearly continuous rumbles of thunder for over and hour now. So much lightning I turned the range down on my detector. Rain not as heavy as this morning so far total of 22mm for the day.

Was spoilt rotten by an amazing storm in Cambridge earlier today which went on for about an hour and a half. Lost power and phones. Got home and am now experiencing the southern arm of storms that TEITS is under. Lots of thunder and rain, although not quite as good as what Peterborough got. Might be another hour of radar-watching to come :D

P.S; Anyone give me a rough guide on whether or not i'm going to get any tstorms/heavy rain here, im right on the coast but the post code is YO14 :D . Dont have time for chart reading.

Very convective/storm discussion thread type photos Lewis :D ...lol

Now its not very often I moan about not getting a storm (because I just jump in my van and chase 'em...lol) but of all the times to be stuck indoors with the flu!...cracking storms not 100 miles away from me, and all I can do is just stare at the lightning detectors and CRY !! :)

OK thanks Dave. Things quietened down here at the moment. Radar still looks promising though.

Spoke to soon. Really getting going again now.

Well, it's been mostly rain, with maybe 8 or 9 flashes of lightning the entire duration, but by Northampton standards, it might as well as well be a supercell!!

10 flood warnings in the north east. 13 areas in flood watch, but I would expect allot more soon as the water makes it way off the hills.
