Northampton small storm now moving away, still rumbling in the distance.

Can hear deep booming thunder off in the distance now

Makes sense the storm we just had appeared to be heading south/south west. Don't get to excited its only a baby.

10 flood warnings in the north east. 13 areas in flood watch, but I would expect allot more soon as the water makes it way off the hills.

The rivers in Durham City are already in flood.

Is that shower on the radar over East London/Kent/Essex for real? It looks very intense!

Just had a few drops of rain here, seems to be some more showers popping up as this one is not on the radar 15 mins ago, dark clouds and a high cumulonimbus overhead.

Thanks for sharing pics and experiences from last night and today. I've been enjoying the read. Not much happening here stormwise I'm afraid. Rained all morning but has cleared up now. Have to say though it's blowing a flippin hooley out there. Don't think I'll bother re-doing my hair to go to the pub tonight!!!!

It's probably gained in strength now it's left Northampton - that's what usually happens!!

not doing much, very dark and i could see somw nice mammatus through a small break in the base, couple of torrential rainburst and a large overhead IC strike, apart from that it looks to be decaying tbh.

Black cloud that's just rolled past here - heading towards E Kent!

Some areas of its base look really quite erratic! Something to keep an eye on IMO if it intensifies any more!

Regular rumbles of thunder now. Hopefully i'll get another storm pass through today.

Thunder getting louder now!!!

Wondering if those storms will creep south enough to hit me in the next hour or so - fingers crossed

At home sick today.

Just had a few rumbles and a little bit of lighting.

No rain.

It's heading toward southend.
