So far I`ve recorded 100mm of rain which is a record wet first half of July, doubt it`ll be as wet as July 2007 but last July it probably will.

First half previous wettest Julys.

2008...59mm

2007...59mm

1999...58mm

2003...55mm

2004...54mm

How much rainfall have you recorded so far and your previous wettest Julys upto this mark.

I don't know how much rain we've had here; but most of it's fallen in five thunderstorms...

Already recorded 104.0mm of rain up to this point with more to come. I Only have records of last July and this July since i started recording in October 2007.

Last July we had 105.3mm of rain with about 85mm up to this point. 78mm of which fell between the 4th and the 11th (when I was enjoying rather different weather in south France)

Not got a rain gauge, but i can confirm we've had another very wet summer so far , June was ok but nothing exceptional (unlike other parts of the country), but July has been weather for ducks , this morning it was torrential and i'm not exagerating, i would be very interested if anyone has any official figures for the rain here in greater manchester/lancs

June wasn`t too wet 71mm compared to the wettest Junes 1997/98 with 142/144mms,last june 50mm.

Now for the wettest Julys to the driest I`ve kept records on this may take a little time.

Should`ve put 2000 instead of 1999 as one of the wettest first halves

2007...193mm

2008...124mm

2003...114mm

1995...81mm

2000...80mm

1998...75mm

2005...71mm

2001...68mm

2002...67mm

2004...64mm

1993...59mm

1996...50mm

1997...36mm

1994...35mm

2006...27mm

1999...11mm

So much for the hot BBQ summer with below average rainfall with 100mm this July coming in 4th place already.

We've had almost 76mm so far this month which is wet but not exceptional and is less than many areas nearby.

There have been several days when areas within a few miles have had heavy downpours or thunderstorms and we've had little or no rain.

Yup a wet July 100mm so far and more to come. Following on 122.7mm in July. However a long way to go to beat our 187mm record recorded in 73. Very doubtful it'll beat the wet summer of 2006 though.

41mm so far here, so we're close to the average monthly total just 19 days in - however it has been comparatively dry compared to other parts of the country.

well weve had rain around this neck of the woods but not tht much around 30 mls and that that has fallen has dried up in a very short time to leave an even more yellow grassy graden

Just over 160mm so far, crazy wet! The most I have had in this area for a month (since 2002) is 248mm, so may even top that...in a Summer month too. The only Summer month to rival this one was June 2007 with 187mm, even that should be well beat this month.

Currently 101.2mm here so definitely on the wet side and I think over the next week, there will be enough rain to top last year's 123.7mm here. We seriously need a long settled spell to remind us of what time of year it is!

Only 80.2mm so far here. The 30 year average for July is 66.4mm so it's already a wet month but the total at this stage of the month is less than in 2007 or 2008 which recorded 99.9mm and 89.6mm respectively up to the 19th.

Probably the most remarkable feature of the month so far has been the number of heavy downpours or thunderstorms within a few miles but not actually affecting here.

74.0mm here, which is 193% of the monthly average.

Still some way off 2007 (127.6mm) and 2008 (90.9mm).

Out of the last 6 Julys, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 have all had more than 150% of the average. July 2006 at 44% sticks out like a sore thumb.

Not sure what the average July figure is for my neck of the woods, however, we have recieved nearly 4 and half inches which is quite wet considering we are only two thirds of the way through the month.

July 2009 is quickly becoming a rather poor summer month.. its prolonged dry sunny conditions you want in the summer..
