Lots of rain about here today.

We had persistant mostly ligt/moderate rain from late morning through to mid afternoon, cool feel as well, late afternoon saw some brighter weather but mainly cloudy, however, some hefty showers developed around 6pm and more recently around 9pm we had a very intense heavy downpour with thunder and lightening, the rain at times was torrential and with a dark leaden sky and blustery wind it certainly was not pleasant. I've lost count of the number of occasions I've witnessed thunder and lightening this summer, certainly turning out to be a notably thundery summer and we are only just over the half way stage.
