:( That pesky dry slot in Wales is meaning we are likely to get nothing unless anything develops in that area but when there has its fizzled out rapidly. Its not looking good. :(

Lets hope so Dogs, we really seem to have had some bad luck on the storm front this year.

Wow around 8.30am the rain came down and the wind was so gusty thought we were in for a right bashing, but it soon stopped!

Just had a phone call from my partner who works the other side of newport, near the bristol channel, saying they just had a brief storm, it lasted about 10 mins with monsoon like rain and thunder and lightning!!

Had nothing here though, just rain!! :(

Army of deluges moving in this direction from the Hants area - sun is out here now and it is really warming up nicely! Hopefully it will give the showers some added punch should they make it over here :(

yes but do you remember last week.........An area of heavy shower's approached here with no sferic's.

Then after passing over they turned into proper TS as they headed for Oxford direction...

I hate to say this but I think the same might happen again.

I bet IF they turn explosive it will be later as they move more EaST.

would be better for these shower's to delay there approach.

So they can expand and collect more intensity

already had 11.9mm here today, if we can squeeze another 0.6mm then it will be the 2nd wettest day of the year here - and it's mid summer!

and if we can squeeze 12.1mm more then it will be the wettest day of the year!

Unless anything develops its already game over for us. That dry slot in wales is where we want the rain but no it looks like another stormless day for the West Midlands. :(

Very very dark sky to my west, jet black in fact so this could be the deluge of the Bristol Channel that's been gone on about. There are sferics as well with it so hopefully at least some thunder if not lightning.

Yes i do agree that it does look like we will scrape it now especially us in the southern half of the West Midlands. Meanwhile for the north of our region like Salopwatcher, i doubt they will see anything from this but i wouldnt rule out anything developing later.
