A very disappointing month once again. Frequent showers and longer spells of rain. Hopefully one short hot spell sometime between August 8th-15th, but soon breaking into thunderstorms (30c should be achieved) Then it back to unsettled weather.

The second half of the month may see the Azores High pushing north to sit to the west of Ireland, so possibly becoming drier, but cool and cloudy with north-westerly winds.

The final week of the month may see the Azores High pushing over the UK giving the us a very pleasent spell of late summer weather. Warm and sunny bank holiday - Though minima could be on the cool side, possibly with very early ground frosts in the north)

CET - 15.5

I want to be optimistic that things will settle down as we move through August but no that confident ATM. Will make a CET guess in a few days.

15.4C

A stormy month more like an autumn month than August with some unusually deep lows moving across the UK especially northern UK, some cool more showery days mid month before the storms pick up again for a very disappointing bank holiday weekend.

Thats hot lol.

I really don`t think this atlantic will continue all of august there will be a change somewhere,we are just running that bit later to last year so a warm/hot spell late last July will come come somewhere 10th to middle of august.

Cet guess probably only around average though at 16c

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
