    Monday 6th July

It's rather late as I have been away and have since had to organise photos and label them. Being influenced by low pressure at the time, frequent showers passed through the reas throughout the day with bright and very gusty period between. The day finished with a fine thunderstorm with torrential rain and hail and very gusty winds. Lightning was a bit short but the thunder was very loud and shook the windows of the house.

It has been yet another wet July.

I have recorded 154mmof rain this Month, your photos are a good reflection of the Month as a whole.

Thanks for the comments guys. Indeed it has been only 1mm short of 2007's total of 162mm. One thing that has amazed me though is the number of days with hail - 6th, 7th, 19th, 24th, 30th. I'm sure that's not normal in a summer month. Even in winter we don't get hail that often - even in wintry outbreaks. Ah well, August has been much better and thus less convective opportunities.
