Turned out a super summers day after initial thoughts that the cloud was going to spoli affairs during the afternoon, a;as if anything the afternoon saw clear skies and by late afternoon we had wall to wall deep blue skies and sunshine, the clear skies penetrated right through to sunset, it was a lovely sunset over the western hills aswell.

The lakeland hills have looked wonderful all day, clear as a bell, it was fantastic watching the airshow over lake windermere in such weather. Temperatures I suspect hit 70f, perfect conditions, I can't praise todays weather enough, to be in the lake district under such conditions doesn't get any better, who needs to go anywhere else on days like today, shame it is likely to go down as a rare treat this summer!

The second lovely day in a row, it was clear and sunny with only small amounts of cloud. Warm too with a max temp of 22.6C. Quite low humidity aswell, dropping as low as 43%.

Currently clear and 15.6C with 78% humidity.

Only 3mm of rain in the last 6 days, so a respite from the wet weather before tomorrow arrives.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
