After the lovely weekend it's back to business as usual with showers, lots of wind and overcast skies.

A bit like I expected really- it started dry and sunny with some unexpected altocumulus castellatus about (unexpected because it wasn't supposed to be a convective/thundery sort of day!) but soon went dull and drizzly. Drizzly now.

It has become rather warm and muggy outside here which wasn't really expected despite it being cloudy the cloud has thinned with some weak sunshine just shining through, especially within the last 10 mins with a few breaks of blue sky. However theres thicker drizzly looking cloud just to the north west.

A nice sunny and mild start, ideal for breakfast on the patio (don't know how that slipped in - must have been watching too much Dan Corbett!) but the cloud thickened during the morning and we have had persistent light rain since lunchtime. Temperature around 21 deg C. Gusty W wind.

Haven't been outside today..........got my leg in plaster and on crutches.Done my achiiles tendon:.So........ from my window from the start of the day grey overcast and raining .However since mid morning it has brightened up an according to my Daughter very warm out there.High white clouds and blue sky.Sorry it's not more scientific!
