Low cloud and high humidity is making it a very oppressive start to the day. Mention of thundery showers on our BBC local weather last night, we could do with a good storm to clear the air but I can't see where its coming from.

Cloud hole has sealed up and it's now bright but overcast and has turned windier.

20.5c the max so far - at least it's over 20c!

More pleasant day than expected, a fair amount of cloud first thing but some intervals of warm sunshine since then.

Mid next week looking rather more hopeful for something interesting down here- hot sunshine likely and the outside chance of some kind of Spanish plume.

A suprisingly warm day today, the warmest in fact since July 4th, with a maximum of 24.0C. Last night was around average with a min of 12.8C, so an unusual combination for this month.

Despite the warmth, it has been mostly cloudy with bright spells. Currently 22.8C and 58% humidity.

Just 2mm of rainfall in the last 7 days, though the first 7 days were wet meaning we're at 38.6mm for the month so far.
