Strong drizzly wind here on the edge of Snowdonia. My Dad at the van in Pembrokeshire said "Bills arrived" there as its very windy but the rains not exceptional.

Horsham has been crazy this morning. Heavy rain, gale force winds, thunder, lightning, floods, in fact, total armageddon.

Not really.

It's been crap.

Thundery rain?

Wind is gusting 57mph, moderate rain after heavy rain overnight - Not nice at all - Rain Gauge now shows 27mm of rain has fallen since midnight - Rain should ease soon with better conditions behind

I have to say I’m finding it difficult to differentiate Bill-induced conditions from those on most other days this ‘summer’. Wet, windy, normal.

Is this it? I was expecting lashings of rain and howling winds. Well, that's what was forecast yesterday. For here.

The reality is..... windy with a bit of drizzle earlier on. A great big let down. Bill......you are a wimp!

Hate to say it but.....told you  Nothing has come of this. It is totally still outside. There has just been light drizzle all morning. Maybe the next system to come will bring something more interesting but I was confident Bill would bring very little.

A whopping 1.3mm so far since midnight, not quite as wet as i had hoped for, generally breezy with occasional stronger gusts but i wasnt expecting any different on that front.

ex-Bill definitely has a different feel to it up here. The air feels much tropical in nature and the winds are sporadic in nature, but lash out when they come. Drizzile is also sporadic but quite warm to the touch and summery feeling as the sun is trying to break through the clouds yet isnt quite doing so.

Turbot Bank Buoy recording 112mph over on XC obviously a glitch in the system.

Have to admit, better (in terms of less rain and wind) than predicted...so far.

Started to drizzle about an hour a go, but thats even patchy. A little windy, but mainly more of a gusty feel.

Not cold either, but not really hot.

I hate to report this but there were lashings of rain and strong winds here this morning. I think Bill arriving was a ploy to stop everyone in Glasgow from sticking their heads in the oven once they realised this was just another typical summer day....
