What a horrible day. Had 2 minutes of sunshine literally! It has been feelinga lot cooler in the last couple of weeks. 15C today. I think summer is offically over! Leaves starting to change here already. Very, very, dull just now it is like night time in my room and the rain is lashing down. Not much wind though, the odd gust about 10-15mph I would say but non-stop rain for the whole week so far. Is it not ironic that the boyband JLS have brought Umbrella back out and it has started raining again just like when Rhianna brought it out 2 years ago? Coincidence? I think not!

Surprisingly Norwich Airport is still up at 24C, but it doesn't feel it under persistent cloud cover and a gusty wind. It reached 26C (higher than I expected!) in the clear spells in between showers at 10-12 this morning.

After a brief spell of heavy rain at about 7:45am (according to my weather station, I was still asleep!) the back edge of the mid-level cloud clearance moved overhead somewhere around 11am and since then it was quite a sunny, warmish and breezy day with a few showers dotted around and the edge of one hit here just before 2pm. It wasA bit warmer than expected today with a max temp of 21.6C even though the 850hpa temps were about 5C which is about 7C lower than they were on days a few days ago that had a similar max temp, but those days were quite cloudy overall.

It was very mild last night with the temp above 17C and near or at 18C most of the time.
