Now, is this worth getting excited about lol ::lol:

From the MetO fro the SW tomorrow.

Friday:

Bright and blustery, with a mix of sunshine and occasional showers. The showers heavy in places, with hail and thunder possible locally. Often quite chilly, especially in the strong wind. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

I'm in the mood for dancing.....sorry off-topic. Tomorrow does look like it could be an interesting day. I can just picture it now; big, gusty showers with hail and a few CCs/CGs thrown into the mix. Oh, one can dream.

Edit: Estofex have issued a storm risk area for Wales, parts of the SW and W Mids and virtually all of Ireland for tomorrow. Hopefully, come tomorrow the reality will be that any showers or storms that do form drift slightly more eastward into B'ham - the conditions do certainly seem favourable.

The ingredients there are very good. Dont want to get too excited though due to previous dissapointments. However any Further South than the West Midlands Region then that storm risk decreases very rapidly on the GFS.

The wind should easily blow showers in;and tomorrow so we should be fine.

looking forward to tomorrow, not because of a rather rubbish storm-risk for here, but because of the much fresher air. A final respite from this horrible muggy and warm yuck we've had for endless weeks. Hopefully a proper nights sleep tomorrow night :D

Here we go again Lol..:D. Will we or wont we :D

Storm Forecast Issued: 2009-08-27 20:42:00

Valid: 2009-08-28 00:00:00 - 2009-08-28 23:59:00

Regions Affected

Southern Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England (excluding southern counties) and Ireland (excluding far SW) ( all of the UK is under the WATCH )

Synopsis

A complex area of LOW pressure to the north of Scotland, and the Azores HIGH to the south/southwest of the United Kingdom, will dominate the weather for Friday. A strong northwesterly flow develops with winds reaching gale force in exposed western locations. Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop as a result of troughs and convergence zones embedded within the strong northwesterly flow. During the morning the showers will be most frequent and persistent across western and northern areas, but during the afternoon the showers should become increasingly widespread. Southern and Southeastern parts of England may stay largely dry until the late afternoon and evening showers when the showers are expected to arrive. Hail seems likely in many of the showers given the cold Polar Maritime airmass. There is enhanced risk of a tornado or waterspout developing in some of the showers. The showers/storms will decrease in coverage quite rapidly during the evening hours, becoming mostly confined to the coasts of western Scotland.

Under the line of showers of Yorkshire, torrentioal rain and gale force winds, very suprised tbh, a typical squall line.

Not expecting anything other than heavy blustery showers today. Any that do pass through are not going to be hanging around on this brisk WNW.
