    Down near to Angouleme in France last week and the cold front trailing out of the UK came through on Wednesday morning with a fantastic display of altocumulus with rain clearly falling from it. They eventually developed into high based discrete CB's.

    Earlier on Monday had a significant high based storm with signs of rotation and significant CC lightning as well as hail despite 850's of 20C suggesting very high cloud tops. Temp had been 35C day before and much of the week before that in the low 30's
