Very heavy rain here at the moment with thunder and lightning thrown in with it. Lost sky signal, some big puddles on the roads and now with this heavy shower, not a good night to be driving around.

Some rain here 30 miles east, but no thunder or lightning, very dark and breezy though

Hi, it looks like Kidwelly and Darlington are twinned, horrendous here, no Sky here either, the dog is scared out of his wits as the rain overflows the gutter, had a bit of thunder, no lightning seen (yet), its hard to believe we are in the same continent as the south east/east Anglia, never mind the same country wallbash.gif No summer in 2007, 2008 or 2009. Maybe we should call it 'Sprautumn' from now on? mellow.gif I really feel for those involved in the tourist trade away from the places that have had summer this year. Looking forward to tropical storm Danny next. Oh joy!

Update - pavement outside house very flooded, guess we've had an inch in the last 30 mins?

We have returned to normality here now - still raining but not as heavy, our gutter wasn't coping then too. Went to a holiday camp earlier in the day around here and the tourer field was like a bog. The thunder and lightning has passed now so it didn't amount to all that much with the lights flickering now and then although the wind has picked up now though, roll on winter, i think we get more drier and sunnier days in winter than summer now.

Lovely warm sunny day today, a continuation of the great summer locally. Recorded a high of 27c - intersting to note how accurate the GFS was in predicting this spell some 7 days ago. As it turned out, the best weather was 50 - 100 miles further east than originally predited but still impressive for so far out. Luckily we were in that warm zone with 850's up to 16c. Spoke to my dad who is camping in Cornwall who said the weather was terrible - what a contrast here with deep blue clear skies.

Cloudy and rather muggy start - the cloud eventually cleared at lunchtime to leave a glorious sunny afternoon and a balmy evening. Currently rather warm and partly cloudy, temperature 19.7, maximum 23.4, minimum 15.1. Wind light S.

The rain has been lighter for the past hour. Now it's rattling down heavily again and the wind is getting up. Looks like that mass of heavy stuff over Wales is coming up here. Bad night ahead.

Manic weather. Raining so hard now, 10 mins after last post, that the house gutters are overflowing. Watch out places to N and NE of here.

Must be some flooding about somewhere by now.
