Yet another uneventful day in a long run of uneventful days weatherwise, pleasant and nice all the same but very non-descript.

Some very light spits and spots of rain from time to time and once again dissapointingly cloudy, in fact it has been the general cloudy weather of recent days which is now meaning that this settled weather is beginning to grate, the outlook for the next 3-4 days doesn't promise much sunshine here in the lakes neither, at least another very useful weekend is on the cards for getting out and about, oh how we could have done with this sort of weather during the school holidays.. nevermind, April, May and September are renowned for bringing the best shot of pleasant conditions in the lake district, once October comes, chances readily decline.

A cool start gave way to a pleasant and sunny day. It reached a 17.1C in the end - about average, but felt pretty warm even in the afternoon when it clouded over.
