    Whats the most named storms that have occurred in one basin at one time?

    second whats the most number of invests to occur in on basin at the one time?

    its getting busy in the west pacific

    I know last season we had Atlantic systems one after the other.

    Not entirely sure about the first one but it could well be the Atlantic in 1995, when 5 storms were active at the same time in late August- Humberto, Iris, Jerry, Karen and Luis.

    As for number of invests, that is a little bit harder to find out, but the West Pacific is probably the record holder here and I have seen 6 simultaneous invests here before.
