Still cloudy, the sun is peaking out now and again but the cloud is in charge, if the sun is going to make an appearance it better hurry up! Temps on par with yesterday, currently 17.6c, although this time yesterday we where on a decrease in temps but at present its still rising a bit.

The day started off with clear blue skies but with increasing cloud as the day wore on. In the sun it felt very nice. Max temp 16.3c. If its the same tomorrow my shorts might be reappearing sooner than i'd expected.

Nothing particularly special here. Started off damp, brightened a bit, now gone cloudy again. Rose to 14.3º and now dropped slightly to 13.8º.

Sun has set and it's now a still, mild evening and partly cloudy. Temp 14.9c after max of 15.4c.

We've managed to have the windows open all day in the office - lovely to get some air in. It's now mostly dark and still warm enough for windows open - it actually looks 'odd' having the windows open here whilst it's dark as I very rarely see it in that combo. The dark in the office four month period is rarely warm enough after sunset for windows to be open. Loving it!

Certainly a big contrast with last year - October 28 2008 gave us snow on the ground, whereas today has been unusually mild. Cloud slowly broke up to give a few sunny intervals in the afternoon. Currently mainly cloudy, 13.7 deg C, wind light variable. Today's maximum 18.3, last night's minimum 10.2.

A fair chance tomorrow of breaking the UK temperature record for October 29? I believe 19.2 is the target.

A very mild and clear start with sunshine from the word go today, low overnight, 10.2c. and 5.6c on the grass. At observation, sunny with just a little Stratus fractus blowing in from the SW. The day continued bright with some good sunny spells, very warm for late October, with a maximum temperature of 16.7c and with just a light south westerly wind it felt very pleasant indeed.
