Preposterously heavy rain here in Blackpool, bit of lightning and a strong wind thrown in for good measure too. Eventful I think is the right word. Driving in on the motorway was interesting, bit of a grey-out, it was all I could do to keep my wee Punto pointing in the right direction.

diving south across Western Europe and meeting the cold air block to the east. That looks a good set up for early winter snowfalls, especially in Alpine Regions.
