0ºC at the airport up here - coldest evening so far this season and the third air frost.

I notice the Traffic Scotland website has a weather warning in force for icy road conditions.

yea its even worse when the scottish ones have temps down at -3c etc and even close in belfast its 0c! meanwhile its stuck at 5c here and rising this cloud has actually stayed here for 2hours now and hasnt moved 1cm

i was very much demented actually when i came back home as id expected it to be 0c after the clear skies and the way the temps weere going but i was sure angry when i came back to see every advancing cloud and belfast only across the country having 0c that sure made me think how much colder i could be now!

The cloud CANNOT last much longer! The cloud im under is about 10 miles in diameter. It surely can't last much longer! :aggressive:

temp: 5.5c!!!

wind none thats why this cloud is here ruining my life!

i sincerly doubt thaat once you are below this cloud you will never get a frost as here the cloud has barely movefd in the past three hours which is really not good as i will probably end up being 8c or something in the morning meanwhile the rest of ni is down at -2c!!! and anyway by the time it does clear which will be two am or something itll be too late to get too zero as the significant temp drops will have calmed down so overall a mild boring night!!!!unsure.gif

Checking heater on at the water pump at the well this evening as temperature has now fallen to -3c with a very starry sky, frozen ground and sparkling grass. We seemed to have silently slipped into Winter with some lovely sunny days, a real traditional November.

Not surprised, the roads around here are quite slippy. There seems to be an icey glaze over them, the traction control in the car came on quite a few times just with some gentle driving.

Temp here is hovering just about freezing at 0.4c, looks like we are on for the 2nd air frost in 2 nights (and the season) :)

The only place in Ireland atm with a temperature lower than 2c is Dublin. That is the ONLY place in Ireland.

7.0c and cloudy.

It's taking it's time isn't it Stephen! It was meant to clear at 3pm. Why is it hanging on? 7c at this time of night when minus 1 was forecast is a disgrace. Scotland is already at -4c. :)

What a difference the weather has been today compared to yesterday - chalk and cheese. Thankfully it stayed dry all day and with blue skies and abundant sunshine and no wind it felt wonderful albeit temperatures only maxed out at 9 degrees. I was on the sw coast of Cumbria for much of the day and the hills and coast looked stunning. A weekend of contrasts!

This evening it has turned cold quite quickly we don't have a frost just yet but it is imminent expecting lows of near freezing but perhaps just above.

Scotland is in for a cold one, its easily going to be the coldest night of the season so far with some sheltered glens I expect seeing -6 possibly -7, nothing exceptional but cold all the same.

A dry day today, mostly cloudy with a few breaks, max today a cool 8.3°C. Mostly clear now, with a few bits of broken cloud, I'm hoping it won't amount to much more, so we can at least get our first air frost tonight! very late this year for us.

Hmm well according to the satellite images it should be clear but the temperature dropped to a low of 5.3°C about 1 hour 30 mins ago but then since rose slightly and levelled out.

Max today: 11.1°C at 12:11 and then again later in the afternoon was just about the lowest so far.

Min last night: 3.7°C at 0:08

Just been outside and the sky appears to have lighter patches of cloud there but it must be very thin as you can see stars through those patches :) Temp is now 5.3°C again.
