First Snow Predictions For Mainland Enland

Recommended Posts

Ok guys I'm new to this site so first of all a big hello to all . I followed this forum last year and enjoyed the crack. So just to make things a little more exciting I am willing to send someone a £5 note if they can guess where the first snow will fall in the mainland of England & the date. Lets have a place name and not a county and No mountains. The one nearest to their prediction wins the £5. I know it's not much, as I say just for fun. I'll start it off myself with Penrith in Cumbria, December the 8th. :)

Bugger never thought of that! I will just have to take the first correct guess that is placed on this site.

place: Telford...... date: any second now, yep, its just started snowing!

OK I want 3 forms of proof. 1. a photo of you standing in your underpants in the snow. 2nd a mention of it snowing in the local press. 3 rd Please post me an envelope with some of the snow in by 2nd class post. :)

But seriously how do we know if it as snowed where someone says it as?

Cheating a bit here but on another web site that shall remain nameless

They are giving Sleet for places like Manchester,Carlisle to name a few

Between 3am-6am dont think will happen Temps down to about 3c at that time

But would expect temps to rise slighty as the cloud comes in.
