Eh, a funny old day. Kaikoura reached 29C at 1AM, then plummeted to 16C in a gale force southerly. For proper daytime highs, 32C has been reached in the Bay of Plenty, and with dewpoints of around 18C up there it would feel pretty humid.

It's certainly warm for November!

Thick fog and light-moderate rain earlier, all of which cleared by 0800 as the warm front moved through.

Currently overcast with intermittent light drizzle. Temp' is 9.7c after an overnight min' of 5.7c, 9.7c is also the 24 hour max'.

Rainfall from 1800-0900, 3.2 mm making a 24 hour total of 16.2mm

Mean wind speed is 24 mph SW, gusting to 36.

Thats how it should be, it almost always is but the synoptics that have occurred this year (mostly southerly orientated) have favoured me for lower temperatures. As soon as that winds turns west/northwest, I'll once again be the milder location :unsure:

Once the winds turn more Northerly/Easterly you will be colder again :nonono:

Looking very windy west of here 41 gusting to 67mph this morning.

Doesn`t seem so strong today,fresh to strong and quite a dry morning considering,but there was more overnight rain but somewhat less to recently.
